SPC methodology has been widely recognized as one of the key tool to achieve product or service quality excellence by proactively controlling the manufacturing process. The statistical approach works towards minimizing variations due to special causes with great emphasis placed on the understanding of SPC fundamentals by the shopfloor team to create stability and predictability in the process.

PREREQUISITE

No prior knowledge in statistics is needed to attend this course, however all participants are required to use excel spreadsheet for practical exercises.
Participants are required to bring along laptop together with applicable variable and attribute data.

Variable data – process parametric data that are measurable
Attribute data – visual inspection data from production or quality
