The natural tendency of many individuals and organizations when presented with a problem is to jump to a solution, any solution. They do not systematically analyze the problem to determine a root cause before considering potential solutions.
This intensive 2 days Root Cause Analysis training is based on the proven Six Sigma performance improvement methodology with a strong focus on analyzing the root cause of problems and developing appropriate solutions. The course will start with the identification, prioritization and definition of problems. We will then consider how we measure the problem and then use logical, data and process analysis to understand the problem followed by root cause analysis tools. Once we have verified the root cause, we will then consider how we identify, evaluate, develop and implement a preventive solution that addresses the root cause of the problem.
Method: To have an in-depth root cause analysis method. Provide a clear causal understanding of the event and can see the causal relationships. In a systematic, organized and clear in manner.
Tools/process: Share technique/skill of asking questions and develop good sense of logical thinking process. Every RCA tool has its own strengths. Which tool to use when? We will be covering this in detail.
Actions: Develop preventive actions that provide the strongest towards Zero Defect. (Example:-how to ensure preventive actions of human related issues,e.g “Education/Displine/Procedure” effectively implemented).
